Architecture Inspired by Cubism

The architectural concept of the Petrská 18 project was created in collaboration with the renowned studio Pantograph. The development rises on a site with its own story—on a quiet street by St. Peter’s Church, where three historic townhouses once stood. The new residence sensitively revives this historical footprint while integrating contemporary demands for urban living. Its inspiration draws from Prague’s architecture—the cubist forms, the layered structure of the Poříčí river terraces, and the original geometric parcelling. The result is a residence that harmonises with the city’s rhythm while retaining a distinct identity and a contemporary character.

A Facade with a Sense of Place

A Facade with a Sense of Place

The building’s facade works with a motif of a regular grid structure and geometric forms inspired by Prague Cubism. A subtle three-tone color palette evokes the memory of the original three townhouses that once stood on the site. Bronze details and copper tones reference the iconic terracotta rooftops that define Prague’s silhouette. The striking architectural elements draw on local traditions, yet reinterpret them in a modern and elegant way. The overall expression naturally connects the site’s history with a contemporary architectural language.

A Courtyard as a Quiet Oasis

The inner courtyard is designed as the green heart of the entire development. Under the guidance of landscape architect Ferdinand Leffler, it will become a space filled with tranquillity and natural hideaways. Gently contoured terrain, tall grasses, and climbing plants will create a sense of privacy and serene green views. Ground-floor apartments will feature private front gardens, while upper-floor residences will offer quiet loggias and terraces overlooking this urban oasis.

Pantograf Architects

Pantograph is a studio made up of people who understand the city – its rhythm, history, and present. Led by architects Peter Kožušek and Martin Guttman, the team brings a refined sense of detail, proportion, and timelessness to its work. Petrská 18 is conceived as a building with its own identity – weaving together the site's story with contemporary architecture and the elegance of urban living.

The studio's notable works include the Sky Park Offices in Bratislava and a winning proposal for the Hospital of the Future in Martin. Pantograph’s architecture naturally reads the narrative of a place and transforms it into a new kind of quality.

Quality You Can See and Feel

At Petrská 18, we place great emphasis on every detail – from the facade to the door handles. The architects from Pantograph have designed not only the exterior of the building but also the interiors of the shared spaces, including a distinctive entrance lobby. The reception and public areas reflect the tones and textures of the facade, creating a unified and harmonious whole.

Only premium materials are used – high-quality wood, cast terrazzo with rounded pebbles, metal accents, and tiles in the highest Platinum standard. The outer facade references the original expression of the building, while the inner facade facing the courtyard brings peaceful views, in a lush green atrium. Metal elements from the exterior are echoed in interior details – such as stair railings or elevator doors.
